On November 9th, Nyla hosted its 5th annual Chili for Charity event, a memorable evening that surpassed our expectations by transforming a fun culinary competition into a significant fundraising milestone for K9s for Warriors.
The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as over 100 attendees mingled, laughed, and indulged in various delicious chili recipes. The spotlight shone on the 15 small businesses, each infusing their unique flair into this classic dish. Chilis ranged from traditional to innovative, creating a feast for all. Amid this friendly competition, Akina’s “Ain’t No Wendy’s Chili” emerged as the standout winner.
However, the most meaningful triumph of the night was the support for K9s for Warriors. Enjoying great food and company, every ticket sold contributed to this incredible cause. Our community’s unity and generosity resulted in over $18,000 raised, providing significant aid to K9s for Warriors in their crucial work with veterans and their service dogs.
